Samajwadi Party’s senior leader and former cabinet minister Mohammad Azam Khan has taken a shocking decision regarding his dream project ‘Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust’. Amid legal troubles and jail visits, Azam Khan himself, his wife Dr. Tanzin Fatima and younger son Abdullah Azam have officially resigned from all positions in the Trust.
Now a new executive has been formed for the smooth functioning of the Trust, in which Azam Khan’s sister has been given the highest post. Azam Khan’s sister Nikhat Aflaq has been appointed as the new chairperson of the trust. Azam Khan’s elder son Mohammad Adeeb Azam, who till now was only a member, has now been made the new secretary of the trust.

Mushtaq Ahmed Siddiqui has been given the responsibility of Vice President, SP MLA Naseer Ahmed Khan has been given the responsibility of Joint Secretary and Javed Ur Rehman Khan has been given the responsibility of Treasurer. Was facing a lot of problems due to being in jail
More than 30 serious cases are pending against Jauhar Trust, including land grabbing of farmers. It is being told that due to Azam Khan, Dr. Tajin Fatima and Abdullah Azam being in jail, there were a lot of problems in the functioning of the Trust and its associated educational institutions (Johar University, Rampur Public School).
A big strategic move by Azam Khan
Amidst the action being taken by the administration regarding the trust’s properties and lease, Azam Khan has tried to give it a new direction by separating himself from the trust. This reshuffle is being seen as a big strategic move by Azam Khan so that the work of Jauhar University and other projects continues without legal hindrances even in the absence of his family.
