Pakistan has defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the third ODI match. Pakistan has won the series 2-1. In this match played in Faisalabad, the South African team was reduced to just 143 runs. In reply, Pakistan team easily won the match with 7 wickets remaining in the 26th over. Babar Azam was a flop in this entire series, where his highest score was 27 runs.

When the South African team came to bat first, at one time they had scored 72 runs without losing any wicket. Luan Drie Pretorius and Quinton de Kock were moving the scoreboard forward at a run rate of around 6. As soon as Pretorius’ wicket fell on the score of 71, the South African batting collapsed like a house of cards.

One for 72, two for 87 runs and within no time the South African team had lost 5 wickets till the score was 117. Within the next 26 runs, South Africa also lost its remaining 5 wickets. The highest scorer of the African team was Quinton de Kock, who scored 53 runs. Pretorius contributed 39 runs.

While chasing the target of 144 runs, Pakistan also lost its first wicket early. Fakhar Zaman was out without opening the account. Sam Ayyub was the hero of the victory of the Pakistan team, who played a half-century of 77 runs. Mohammad Rizwan returned unbeaten after scoring 32 runs.

Babar Azam flopped again

Babar Azam’s bat remained silent in the entire ODI series against South Africa. In the third match, he was out after scoring only 27 runs. He scored only 11 runs in the second ODI and only 7 runs in the first ODI match. Babar could score only 45 runs after playing 3 matches in the entire series.
