On the first day of the first Test match being played in Lahore, Pakistan has scored 313 runs after losing 5 wickets. South African bowlers went to the wicket in the third session of the day. Till stumps on the first day, Mohammad Rizwan is unbeaten on 62 runs and Salman Agha is unbeaten on 52 runs. The partnership between Rizwan and Salman has reached 114 runs.
Pakistan won the toss in this match and decided to bat first. Abdullah Shafiq was out after scoring just 2 runs, but after the first wicket, Imam ul Haq and captain Shan Masood took over the Pakistani innings. By making a partnership of 161 runs, both of them had freed sixes from the South African bowlers.
South Africa made a comeback, but Salman-Rizwan fell heavy
At one time Pakistan had scored 163 runs at the loss of one wicket. Then Senuran Mutusamy dismissed Imam ul Haq on the score of 93 and after that Saud Shakeel was not even allowed to open his account. Whereas Prenelan Subrayen put Pakistan batting under pressure by dismissing captain Shan Masood on the score of 76. Pakistan lost 4 wickets in just 36 runs. Imam ul Haq, Saud Shakeel and Babar Azam were out on the score of just 199.
Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Agha batted in a very composed manner under pressure. Rizwan has scored 62 runs and Salman Agha has scored 52 runs. Wiaan Mulder and Aiden Markram bowled 2 and one over respectively, but could not get any wicket. Apart from him, all other bowlers definitely took at least one wicket. Kagiso Rabada, Prenelon Subrayen and Simon Harmer took one wicket each. Whereas Senuran Mutusamy took 2 wickets.
