Bada Mangal 2025 Hug Crord of Devotees in Purana Hanuman Mandir Lucknow

The old Hanuman temple located in Aliganj, Lucknow, is counted one of the most famous and old Hanuman ji temples of the city. This temple is not only a symbol of religious faith but also the historical heritage of Lucknow. There is a mark of moon and stars on top of it, hence it is also called Chand Tara Temple. There are two main Hanuman temples in Aliganj-Prana Hanuman Temple and Naya Hanuman Temple. Both temples have religious significance. However, the old Hanuman temple is of a more calm atmosphere and devotees experience peace here. It is located about one and a half kilometers from Kapurthala intersection.

According to the Panchang, this year the first big Mangal will be on 13 May 2025, which is celebrated every Tuesday of the Jyestha month, it has special significance in this temple. Thousands of devotees come here on the day of Bada Mars. In the temple, grand worship, Sundarkand recitation and Bhandare and Prasad distribution are organized on a large scale.

The architecture of the temple is very attractive. It has three entrances. There are beautiful idols of sages, sages, Lord Ganesha and Bharat Mata at the main gate. A beautiful idol of saffron color of Lord Hanuman is installed inside the temple. The dome of the temple is similar to Islamic architecture which makes it unique.

This temple is believed to be built about 500 years ago. It is said that Begum Rabia, wife of Nawab Mohammad Ali Shah, saw the idol of Hanuman ji in a dream. He discovered the idol and installed it in the temple. Later, the Nawab built this grand temple.

According to the legend, when Begum Rabiya installed the idol of Lord Hanuman ji, he received the son Ratna. After this, the Nawab installed the sign of the moon and the star over the temple. Later, in 1966, Banarasi Das Kapoor Chand Agarwal of Lucknow got the temple reconstructed and improved the temple.

Bada Mangal is a special tradition of Lucknow. It is believed that worshiping Hanuman ji on this day removes all the obstacles of life and gives happiness and peace. Old Hanuman Temple is the center of this tradition. Here every big Mangal is organized for devotees, in which devotees participate in service spirit.
