The police has revealed the murder of railway technician Deepak that took place on January 8 in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. Deepak was murdered by his friend Ravi, so that he would not have to pay the Rs 30 lakh he had borrowed. The police have also recovered the knife used in the murder on the innocence of the accused.
After the murder, the accused had thrown Deepak’s body in the Eastern Yamuna Canal. The police is also investigating other points in this case and has sent the accused to jail.
What was the whole matter?
The dead body of a 35-year-old unidentified youth was found in the Eastern Yamuna Canal near Kishanpur Baral of Ramala police station area on the morning of January 8. A sheet was wrapped around the young man’s face. At some distance from the dead body, a bed was lying forward in the bed. Blood stains and tire marks of a vehicle were found on the canal bridge near the incident site. It was then believed that the young man was murdered somewhere else and the body was brought here and thrown in the canal.
Ramala police reached the spot and took the body out of the canal. The young man was murdered by slitting his throat with a sharp weapon. The police had sent the body for post-mortem and informed the nearby police stations for identification. Apart from this, the photos of the deceased youth had gone viral on social media.
Took it from Deepak to get a job 30 lakh rupees
Deepak, a resident of Loomb, Baghpat and Dalipgarh, present day Ambala in Haryana, was a railway technician in Ambala. Deepak got this job under the deceased dependent quota. Deepak was friends with railway employee Ravi Kamboj, who was a resident of Samalkha, Panipat and works in Delhi. Three years ago, Ravi Kamboj had tricked Deepak’s younger brother Sandeep into getting a job in the Railways. For this he took Rs 30 lakh and a bike worth Rs 3 lakh from Deepak. Due to not getting the job, Deepak was demanding his money back and a dispute started between Deepak and Ravi regarding this.
I called on the pretext of returning the money
Ravi asked Deepak to return Rs 5 lakh and called him on the evening of 7th January. After that Deepak did not return and his mobile was also switched off. On the other hand, when Deepak’s family saw his photo on social media, they contacted Ramala police station. After coming to the police station, he identified the body as Deepak.
It was also alleged that Ravi along with his associates murdered Deepak on January 7 itself. Deepak’s brother-in-law Puneet filed a case against the accused Ravi Kamboj and his unknown associates in Ramala police station.
Deepak was murdered by slitting his throat with a knife.
According to Ramala police station, Ravi first made Deepak drink alcohol and drove away in the car. On the way, Ravi killed Deepak by slitting his throat with a knife and escaped by throwing his body in the Eastern Yamuna Canal. ASP Praveen Chauhan said that Deepak’s body was recovered from the Eastern Yamuna Canal and he was murdered by Ravi Kamboj. While disclosing the incident, the accused Ravi has been arrested and sent to jail. Deepak’s bike, Aadhar card and mobile have been recovered from the accused. Investigation of the incident has been started.
