Bajaj finance: India’s big non-banking financial company (NBFC) Bajaj Finance is currently in the news for its next board meeting to be held on April 29, 2025. The company said on Wednesday that its board of directors would consider the issue of releasing a special dividend on April 29, 2025, dividing the stock into several small pieces and issuing bonus shares.

In a regulatory filing given to BSE on 23 April, the company said that the purpose of these proposals is to increase the value for shareholders. Necessary approval will have to be obtained for this. It further stated that the company will consider distributing or stocking stocks with face value of 2 rupees. The proposal to issue bonus share to the existing shareholders without any expenses will be considered and the payment of a lump sum dividend for FY 2025 will also be considered. These corporate action will be implemented as per the 2013 Companies Act and SEBI rules.

After this announcement, the company’s shares rose up to 4 percent on Thursday and it reached the 52-week high level of Rs 9,709.75 on BSE. So far this year, 35 percent rose in the company’s shares and last year it has given a return of 28 percent. Stock split and bonus issue can increase liquidity, making shares more economical.
