Balrampur News Action Continues on the Properties of Changur Baba

In Uttar Pradesh Balrampur, the district administration and police continued their action to demolish the illegal construction of the alleged kingpin of the conversion racket on Wednesday. This gangster named Jalaluddin alias Chhangur Baba was recently arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Anti -Terrorism Squad.

Additional Superintendent of Police Vishal Pandey said that a complaint had been received that Jalaluddin alias Chhangur Baba had grabbed the government land in the village of Madpur and this was found to be true in the investigation. He said that eight bulldozers have been installed to demolish the encroachment on the government land and the action will continue till the land is empty.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Tuesday that preliminary investigation has revealed that Jalaluddin’s activities are not only anti -social, but also ‘anti -national’.

Giving assurance of not taking any kind of relaxation in matters related to law and order in the state, the Chief Minister had said that the property of the accused and other criminals associated with his gang will be confiscated and strict legal action will be taken against them.

On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Anti -Terrorism Squad arrested Chhangur Baba along with his colleague. Chhangur Baba and co-accused Neetu alias Nasreen are residents of Madhpur in Balrampur district.

A cash reward of Rs 50,000 was declared on arrest
A non-bailable warrant was issued against Chhangur Baba. The police had declared a cash reward of Rs 50,000 on his arrest.

In a police station in Gomtinagar, Lucknow, in the case registered under various sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and Uttar Pradesh illegal conversion prohibition Act, 2021, it has been alleged that the accused worked in an organized manner to convert people and converted people of Hindus and non -Muslim communities to Islam.

The police statement said, “Poor, helpless laborers, weaker sections and widow women were forced to convert by temptation, financial help, marriage promises or threats.”

Earlier, two other accused – Naveen alias Jamaluddin and Mehboob were arrested on April 8. Both are residents of Balrampur and are currently lodged in Lucknow district jail. Mehboob is the son of Jalaluddin.
