Emergency landing of flight bg 436: India’s neighboring country survived a major accident on Friday (May 16, 2025) in Bangladesh. In fact, Bangladesh’s National Airline company Biman Bangladesh Airlines, a flight BG 436, flew from Kax Bazar Airport to Hazrat Shahzal International Airport in the capital Dhaka. Shortly after flying from the airport, the wheel of the main landing gear of the aircraft fell down in the air.

There was an atmosphere of chaos after the aircraft’s wheel fell. As soon as the information was received, the Air Traffic Control (ATC) and rescue teams were alerted and the exercise to make a safe landing of the aircraft started. According to officials of the airline company, there were a total of 71 passengers in this aircraft.

Airline company official gave information

ABM Roshan Kabir, Public Relations General Manager of Biman Airlines Company, told The Daily Star, “This incident happened when the flight BG 436 flew from Kokes Bazar Airport to Hazrat Shahzal International Airport in Dhaka.”

He said, “After receiving information about the fall of the wheel of the aircraft, Biman’s Engineering Department and the Airport Authority had made all the preparations to make a safe landing without a wheel on the left side of the aircraft. The aircraft pilot handled the situation very well and secured the aircraft without any unexpected accident at Hazrat Shahjalal Airport in Dhaka.”

He said, “The aircraft and all the passengers present in it are completely safe. No damage was done to anyone.”

Airline company will investigate the incident

ABM Roshan Kabir, Public Relations General Manager of Biman Airlines Company, said, “This incident is very serious. The engineering department of the airline company will investigate the incident, which can reveal why the wheel of the aircraft was separated and what caused the aircraft.”
