National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi on Saturday welcomed the recent decision of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He said that canceling the cricket-related agreement between Shahrukh Khan and Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman is a commendable step by BCCI.
Maulana Razvi Barelvi said that BCCI has taken this decision keeping in mind the sentiments of both the majority and minority communities of India. I welcome this decision of BCCI. This is a step which sends the message that the sentiments of the people of the country are paramount and cannot be compromised.
Maulana Razvi came out in support of Shahrukh Khan
During this, Maulana also gave an open statement in support of actor Shahrukh Khan. Expressing strong opposition to Shahrukh Khan being called a ‘traitor’, he said that Shahrukh Khan is not a traitor of the country, but a loyal citizen. Shahrukh Khan is not only a famous personality of India, but he has also brought glory to the country across the world with his work and behaviour.
What did Maulana say on violence against Hindus in Bangladesh?
Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi also mentioned the alleged atrocities on minority Hindus in Bangladesh. He said that the Muslim community of India is also worried about the atrocities and atrocities being committed on minority Hindus in Bangladesh. The Muslim humanity of India is against all kinds of atrocities, no matter what religion or community it is against. Maulana demanded the Indian government to take concrete and effective steps to stop the atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh.

What did KKR say by issuing the statement?
In this regard, the statement issued by KKR said, ‘The franchise clarifies that the BCCI, as the regulator of the IPL, has directed it to release Mustafizur Rahman from the team before the upcoming Indian Premier League season. This release has been made on the instructions of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, following due process and advice. BCCI will allow one replacement player for Kolkata Knight Riders as per IPL rules. Further information will be given at the appropriate time.
