A new twist has emerged in the famous Osman Hadi murder case of Bangladesh. Faisal Karim Masood, one of the main accused in this case, has released a video and made it clear that he is not present in India but in Dubai. He has denied any involvement in the murder and has declared himself innocent and said that false allegations are being leveled against him and his family.
Faisal gave clarification by releasing the video
In the video, Faisal Karim Masood said that he neither killed Usman Hadi nor has any connection with this incident. According to him, he had gone to Dubai for the safety of his life. Faisal claimed that there could be other political reasons behind the murder.

Claimed affiliation with Jamaat
Faisal said in the video that Usman Hadi was related to Jamaat and it is possible that people associated with the same organization may have carried out this attack. He said that his name is being wrongly dragged into this incident. The accused says that his contact with Usman Hadi was limited only to business needs. Faisal owns an IT company and admitted that he had made political donations, but that it was for completely legitimate and professional reasons and not as part of any criminal conspiracy.
Questions raised on claim of fleeing to India
Dhaka Metropolitan Police had earlier claimed that Faisal Karim Masood had fled to India. According to the police, he had entered India through Haluaghat border. However, later the BSF IG posted in Meghalaya rejected this claim and said that no evidence of crossing the border has been found.
Documents confirm presence in Dubai
According to media reports, it has been confirmed from the available documents that Faisal Karim Masood is currently in Dubai. According to sources, he has a five-year multi-entry UAE visa issued in December 2022, for which he had paid himself.
It is noteworthy that Usman Hadi was shot during election campaigning in Dhaka on 12 December. He was taken to Singapore for treatment, where he died on 18 December. Hadi was the spokesperson of ‘Inquilab Manch’ and had emerged as an influential youth leader after the recent mass movement. He was also a candidate in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
