BCB had to remove the director from the post, however, after this some people in Dhaka expressed their displeasure and vandalized outside the stadium. Now the President of the Welfare Association has revealed that he and the players are also receiving death threats.
Bangladesh Cricket Board has removed Director Nazmul Islam from his post, after which CWAB (Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh) ended its protest. Nazmul had called Tamim Iqbal an ‘Indian agent’. The players were angry with this statement. In the beginning we were very strict, there is no problem in admitting that we could not stick to our word till the end, but we always wanted the match to happen. When we saw that if we stuck to our word, the match would not happen at all, then we had to give in on some matters.”
Players received death threats

I do not remember that I have ever been involved in any controversial conversation. This is beyond my understanding. When have I ever spoken against the country?”
Mithun said that the board has not been informed about this yet. He said that I am getting calls from unknown numbers. According to him, not only him but many players are also being threatened with death.
He said, “I have not told the board yet. To be honest, I am not taking calls from unknown numbers on my mobile. But I cannot stop messages or voice notes on WhatsApp. I was asked about it there. My number is with the people because it goes to the press on behalf of CWAB. That is why I get more calls and messages.
