A shocking case has come to light from Baramati in Maharashtra, where a bank manager embraced death due to high pressure of work. The deceased has been identified as Shiv Shankar Mitra.

Shiva Shankar was a branch manager of Bank of Baroda located on Bhigwan Road in Baramati. He committed suicide by hanging himself in his cabin. Shiva Shankar was working as Mitra Manager.

Resignation was given a few days ago
According to officials, Mitra was completing the notice period after resigning from the post of Chief Manager of the bank citing health reasons and charge on 11 July. After the banking time ended, Mitra asked all the employees to leave the branch.

Asked to bring a rope from the colleague
The chowkidar left at around 9:30 pm. Shiv Shankar had earlier asked one of his colleagues to bring a rope. At around 10 pm, he hanged him with a rope. This incident has been captured in the bank’s CCTV cameras.

Wife reached the bank and found hanging
When Shiv Shankar did not return home nor did he respond to the phone, his wife reached the bank around midnight. He found the lights of the bank burning. On receiving no response from inside, he informed the bank employees. When the branch was opened, Mitra was found hanging from the roof.

Steps taken due to work pressure
In the note recovered from the scene, bank manager Shiv Shankar has described the pressure of work as the reason for his move. He wrote in his suicide note that the employees work by giving 100 percent of their work and do not put additional pressure on them.

The bank manager wrote in the suicide note that I am taking this step in my senses. He also wrote that if possible, his eyes should be donated. At the same time, police officers have registered a case and are investigating the case.
