A large number of people come to Thakur Shri Banke Bihari Temple in Mathura on New Year, hence an advisory has been issued by the temple administration for all the visitors. The temple management has respectfully requested the visitors to refrain from coming to Vrindavan till January 5 in view of the pressure of increasing crowd of visitors in the temple and surrounding areas on the occasion of Western New Year.
The Manager (Administration) of Temple Thakur Shri Banke Bihari Ji Maharaj Vrindavan has informed that on the occasion of New Year, a huge crowd of devotees will gather in the temple from 29.12.2025 to 05.01.2026 to have the darshan of their revered Thakur Shri Banke Bihari Ji Maharaj. In such a situation, make a plan to visit Vrindavan only when absolutely necessary.

In the advisory issued by the temple administration, it has been said that all the visitors coming from outside are requested to assess the crowd before coming to Vrindavan. If possible, avoid traveling and make travel plans only when absolutely necessary.

Devotees should not bring any kind of bag or valuables with them.
– Devotees should use only the prescribed entry and exit routes to avoid unnecessary problems in the temple. Listen carefully and follow the announcements being made on the public address system.
– The entry and exit routes and gates to the temple will be separate; to avoid unnecessary problems, devotees should not come to the temple wearing shoes and slippers. Arrangements for shoes and slippers have been made by the temple only on all the main roads connecting to the temple. Therefore, please take off your shoes and slippers at the designated place only.
– Beware of pickpockets, chain cutters and mobile thieves.
– Due to Western New Year, visitors may have to face traffic jams and excessive crowd pressure in the streets in Vrindavan.
– Devotees must keep a slip of address and phone number in the pocket of their family members so that they can be informed in case of separation.
– During the rush hour, the elderly, disabled people, small children, BP, heart, diabetes patients, sick people and respiratory patients suffering from epilepsy and seizures should not come to the temple. Don’t come on an empty stomach. Keep essential medicines with you.
On behalf of the temple, a lost and found center has been set up at gate number 2 of the temple and Shri Banke Bihari Ji police post.
– Be careful of hooligans and other anti-social elements, protect your belongings yourself.
– Entry of outside vehicles has been stopped in Vrindavan for which parking arrangements have been made outside Vrindavan.
