RCB Victory Parade Stampede Update: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has formed a committee of three members on Saturday, which will be commanded by BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia. At the same time, the part of this committee will also be the Vice President of the Board Rajiv Shukla and Treasurer Prabhjet Singh Bhatia. This committee has been formed in view of a stampede during the celebration of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s victory in Bengaluru.

BCCI constituted committee

This three -member committee of BCCI will create 15 days of guidelines, aims to prevent incidents like stampede during the Victory Parade in Bengaluru. The BCCI also informed the media about this and told that the apex council has formed this committee with the aim of preventing such incidents in future.

What is the whole matter related to RCB?

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Punjab Kings by 6 runs in the final of IPL 2025 played on June 3. The Bengaluru team won the trophy by winning their first IPL title and celebrated the victory. RCB wanted to take this trophy to Bangalore. After this, the next day on June 4, the team reached the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru to celebrate their victory. During this celebration, a crowd of millions reached Bangalore. On this day, due to this immense crowd, there was a stampede and 11 fans lost their lives. Apart from this, 56 people were injured. The RCB team also met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah before going to the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The Karnataka High Court has formed a commission under the supervision of a Judge (Retired) to investigate the matter, as an FIR has been lodged against Royal Challengers Bangalore and State Cricket Association after a stampede in Bengaluru. So far no decision has been taken in this matter. The BCCI has also paid tribute to the victims of Bengaluru stampede.
