The 2025 Asia Cup will be played between September 9 and September 28 in Abu Dhabi and Dubai of UAE. At the same time, Team India will play their first match in the tournament on 10 September. BCCI has changed one of its rules for this tournament. Indian players will reach Dubai by the evening of 4 September, Net session will be held on 5 September
The BCCI took this decision keeping in mind the system and the travel facility of the players. A senior BCCI official told the news agency PTI on the condition of confidentiality, “All players will reach Dubai by the evening of 4 September and the first net session will be held on September 5 at the ICC Academy. Keeping in mind the logistics facility, the players will be asked to reach Dubai directly from their respective cities.”
He added, “Obviously some team members will leave Mumbai, but some other members believe that it is beyond comprehension to reach Mumbai and fly to Dubai. It takes less time to reach Dubai anyway than other international flights.”
