BCCI has announced the selection committee of the Indian women’s cricket team. Former India cricketer Amita Sharma has been appointed as the chairman of the selection committee, while Jayesh George has been appointed as the chairman of the Women’s Premier League. Amita Sharma will replace Neetu David as chairman. Shyama Dey, Sulakshana Nayak, Jaya Sharma and Shravanti Naidu will work with him in the selection committee.
Selection Committee Chairman Amita Sharma also played 116 ODIs and T20 and 5 Test matches in her career. He took 108 wickets in his international career. The post of Women’s Women’s Premier League (WPL), called the IPL of women, has been given to Jayesh George of Kerala.

The new term of all these will start from the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, which is to be played till 30 September-2 November. The women’s team’s selection committee earlier included Neetu David (Chairman), Arati Vaidya, Renu Margartha, Venkatachar Kalpana and Mithu Mukherjee.
On the other hand, new appointments have also been made in the selection committee of the senior team of men. Pragyan Ojha and RP Singh have been included in the selection committee. The main selector in the selection committee of the men’s team is Ajit Agarkar.
