BCCI has announced a reward of Rs 131 crore for the Indian team after winning the T20 World Cup 2026. This reward will be given to the players as well as the coaching staff and other support staff. Under the leadership of captain Suryakumar Yadav, Team India performed brilliantly against New Zealand and won the title and created a new record in the history of cricket.
Players will get the biggest share
According to the report, the largest share of this amount of Rs 131 crore will be given to the players. However, BCCI has not yet officially told who will get how much amount. According to several media reports, the team of 15 players will get a major share of the prize, while the coaching staff and other support staff will be given the amount as per their role and position.
Coaches, physios, trainers and other support staff working with Team India have also been included in this award. BCCI believes that this victory is the result of the hard work not just of the players but of the entire team.
Prize money worth crores also received from ICC
After winning the T20 World Cup, India has also received a huge amount from ICC. After defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in the final, Team India has received prize money of about 2.34 million dollars i.e. about Rs 21.5 crore. Whereas runner-up New Zealand has been given about 1.17 million dollars i.e. about Rs 10.75 crore.
India’s performance was historic
Team India’s performance in the T20 World Cup 2026 was excellent. India had to face defeat in only one match in the entire tournament. In the final match, the Indian team batted first and scored a big score of 255 runs and then the bowlers easily stopped New Zealand.
With this victory, India has become the first team to win the T20 World Cup title three times. Apart from this, India also became the first team to win this trophy for the second consecutive time.

BCCI has issued a statement congratulating the team’s players, coaching staff and selectors for this historic victory. The board says that this victory is a proud moment for Indian cricket and similar great performance is expected from the team in future also.
