BCCI issued a statement saying that the World Cup victory has written a new chapter in Indian women’s cricket. It was told in the statement that a reward of Rs 51 crore will be given to the players, support staff and coaches of Team India. In the same statement, Jay Shah was also praised, who made tireless efforts to take Indian women’s cricket to a new level.

The Indian men’s team did not get this much money even after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. For winning the T20 World Cup, the Indian team had received prize money of approximately Rs 20 crore. At the same time, the 2011 ODI World Cup winning team India also did not get that much money. At that time, each player of the team was given Rs 2 crore for the historic victory. Whereas each member of the support staff got Rs 50 lakh and each selector got Rs 25 lakh.
