BCCI has released the central contract list for the 2025-26 season. Only 3 players of the men’s team have been given place in Grade A. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been demoted, who have been kept in Grade B. Let us tell you that BCCI has also made changes in its grade system. Only 3 players including Shubman Gill have been placed in the highest grade.
BCCI Central Contract List:
Grade A- Shubman Gill Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja
Grade B- Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Suryakumar Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer.
Grade C- Akshar Patel, Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dubey, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Akashdeep, Dhruv Jurel, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakraborty, Nitish Kumar, Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Sai Sudarshan, Ravi Bishnoi, Rituraj Gaikwad.
BCCI changed the grade system
BCCI has changed its grade system. In the old system, there were four grades, which were named Grade A+, Grade A, Grade B and Grade C. But now only three grades have been kept in the contract list. These have been named Grade A, Grade B and Grade C.
Demotion of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja were in the highest grade in the contract list of last season. Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja have retained their places. Jadeja is the only player in Grade A who is active in only 2 formats, as he has retired from T20 cricket.
