The Asia Cup 2025 is over, but the India vs Pakistan dispute continues. First ‘Handshek controversy’ and now ‘Trophy controversy’ has shook the cricket world. Actually, the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 has started from September 30, in which India defeated Sri Lanka by 59 runs in their first match. Now on October 5, India vs Pakistan match is going to happen again, where the handshake controversy may again come into the discussion.

In a single Asia Cup match, no Indian player joined hands with Pakistani players. Amidst this growing controversy, the question is whether the same will happen in the woman ODI World Cup? Now BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has used ‘Shatru Desh’ for Pakistan in a conversation with BBC.

Devjit Saikia has made such a statement on the BBC Stump Podcast, which has caused the whole controversy again. He said, “I cannot make any prediction, but our relationship with that enemy country is the same. Nothing has changed in the last one week.”

The BCCI Secretary did not say anything about whether the Indian team will join hands with Pakistani players on October 5. He definitely assured that Team India will not violate MCC’s guidelines in any way.

Devjit Saikia said, “The Indian team’s match will be played with Pakistan in Colombo, it will be followed by all the rules. I can only confirm it, which is written in all MCC guidelines. Whether it is a handshake, hugging, I cannot say anything on such a thing.”
