The day of Tuesday, 30 September, was the meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC Meeting Today), in which India’s representative Rajiv Shukla has strongly objected to Team India not getting the trophy. The meeting was held in Dubai, in which Rajiv Shukla asked strict questions to Mohsin Naqvi and said that update on Asia Cup Trophy is not anyone’s personal property.
Rajiv Shukla asked ACC Chairman Mohsin Naqvi directly and asked why the trophy was not given to the Indian team? Shukla said, “This is the ACC trophy, not a particular person’s personal property. The winning team should have been formally handed over to the trophy.”
I like a cartoon there …
After the final match, the post-match presentation could not start for a quarter of an hour. Mohsin Naqvi as well as other celebrities stood on the podium. After the match, it could be seen in the pictures that Team India was sitting in the field for a long time.
Mohsin Naqvi clarified, saying, “He was standing there without a cartoon without reason. The ACC was not informed in writing that the Indian team would not accept the trophy with my hands.”
When the Indian representative constantly asked strict questions, Mohsin Naqvi said that the issue will be discussed at some other time, not now.
Team India returned to India without trophy
Since the ACC chairman took the trophy out of the field after the final match, Team India had to return home without trophy and medal. Indian players have returned to India today. Suryakumar Yadav was given a grand welcome in Mumbai and Gautam Gambhir in Ahmedabad.
