The changes in the contracts of Indian superstars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as well as women players in domestic cricket will be discussed in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Apex Council of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on December 22.
The 31st AGM of the Apex Council will be held online in which the decision on the contracts of Kohli and Rohit is expected. Both of them have retired from Test and T20 international cricket in the last one year and now play only One Day International cricket.
In this context, India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill can be placed in the ‘A Plus’ category along with senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.
Among other matters, changes in the payment of umpires and match referees as well as updates to the board’s digital assets will also be discussed.
This will be the first AGM of the Apex Council after the change in BCCI officials. Mithun Manhas became the chairman of the board in September and Raghuram Bhatt was made the treasurer while Devjit Saikia and Prabhtej Singh Bhatia were appointed secretary and joint secretary respectively.
In the last elections of the board, Saurashtra Cricket Association President Jaydev Shah also joined the board as a councillor.
