The Indian cricket team has defeated Pakistan in the final of Asia Cup 2025. On the basis of Tilak Verma’s finest and memorable half -century innings, the Indian team defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets and won the Asia Cup title for a record 9th time. Tilak Verma scored an unbeaten 69 off 53 balls. This innings included 3 fours and 4 sixes.
After the winning win of Team India, a lot of drama was seen in the match ceremony when Team India refused that they would not take the trophy from the hands of ACC chief and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi. Now the BCCI Secretary has given a statement on this whole matter.
What BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia told ANI for not taking the trophy from ACC chief and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi by Team India, “India is fighting a war with a country and a leader of that country had to hand over the trophy to us. We cannot accept the trophy from a person who has represented the country that has been represented by the country. It is not that the person will take the trophy and medals that are to be given to our country, it is absolutely unpredictable.
Devjit Saikia further said that we hope that his goodwill will work and he will send the trophy back to India as soon as possible, which will give some glimpse of morality. At least we expect this from them. There is an ICC conference in Dubai in November. In the next conference, we are going to protest a very serious and strong against the act of ACC President.

On Prime Minister Modi’s tweet, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia further said, “We saw the Prime Minister’s tweet. We are very happy with this. Earlier Operation was vermilion and now Operation is Tilak. This is a befitting reply to all the nonsense activities done by some people of an enemy country. ”
Indian team will be given a cash reward of Rs 21 crore

All three matches against Pakistan have been unilateral and we congratulate our players and support staff for illuminating the name of the country. We are very proud of our team and they have performed brilliantly on the cricket field. There is a great moment … We have decided that a cash reward of Rs 21 crore will be given to the Indian team.
