The new online gaming bill (Online Gaming Bill 2025) brought by the Government of India has now got the form of law. The most impact of this is seen falling on online gaming platform Dream 11 (Dream11 Online Gaming Bill). This is the same company, whose logo has been seen printed on Team India’s jersey since the year 2023. On one hand, law has been made on online gaming, in such a situation, what will happen to the deal of Dream 11 and BCCI and how many crores of rupees were there among them.

BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has made it clear that the board fully supports this new law. Let us know that this new law made on online gaming will affect all those platforms in which real money transactions are there. Dream11 also comes in these, which is currently the title sponsor of Team India.

How many crores were the deal?

According to media reports, from July 2023 to March 2026, Dream 11 gave an amount of Rs 358 crore to BCCI. The deal will end after the 2026 T20 World Cup. If the company has to stop all its operations in India, then it will be obviously difficult to continue its deal with BCCI for Dream 11.

This is not the first time that a title sponsor of Team India seems to be in trouble. Earlier, Sahara, Bayju to Oppo and Star India have also struggled with financial crisis. The brand value of Dream 11 is estimated at $ 8 billion and India’s $ 3.8 billion is a very big name in Dream11. By being bankrupt, the Bayju company had to finish the deal with BCCI ahead of time.
