Banks will remain closed in these cities on 23 January
A decision has been taken to close banks in some selected cities of the country on Friday, January 23. Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata on this day. The reason for the holiday is the festivals and special days celebrated in different states.
These include Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary, Saraswati Puja, Veer Surendrasai Jayanti and Basant Panchami. However, except these three cities, banks will remain open normally in the entire country.
Banks will remain closed across the country on 24th and 26th January
Due to it being the fourth Saturday of the month of January, banking services will remain closed in the entire country on 24th January. As per the rule of every month, all banks remain closed on the fourth Saturday, hence no branch related work will be possible on this day.
After this, banks will remain closed across the country on January 26 also. This day is the national holiday of Republic Day. In such a situation, if there is any important work related to the bank, then definitely check the information about holidays in advance.
