For the last 4 weeks, questions have been raised continuously about the health of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, lodged in Pakistan’s Adiala Jail since August 2023, as to what is the reason why the Pakistani government is not allowing Imran Khan to meet his family. Amidst all this, ABP News has got hold of some photographs of the barrack in which Imran Khan lives in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail and the facilities provided to him, which were filed in the Supreme Court by the Central Government of Pakistan last year.
This picture is of the small dungeon inside which Imran Khan has been living for 2 years and 3 months. In the barrack, there is a single bed for Imran Khan to sleep with an attached washroom, there is a wash basin near him for washing hands. Also, in this small barrack, there is a provision of cooler, TV along with 1 chair and 2 tables for Imran Khan.
Pakistan government had given information in the Supreme Court
Apart from this, there is also an exclusive gallery for Imran Khan in the jail where he is allowed to walk twice a day and there is also a small kitchen for Imran Khan alone in which food is prepared as per his wish. On June 6 last year, the government of Pakistan had shared pictures in the Supreme Court and given details of the facilities provided to Imran Khan, according to which Imran Khan has been given books to read in jail and there is also a bookshelf in the small room where Imran Khan lives.
Imran Khan is no longer being allowed to meet his sisters
Imran Khan has also been given an exercise bike and stretching belt for exercising in jail, so that Imran Khan remains healthy. Imran Khan, lodged in Adiala jail since August 2023, was allowed to meet his sisters every week, but for the last 4 weeks, Imran Khan has been suddenly stopped from meeting his sisters or other family members.
A big reason for this is that Imran Khan used to give his message to his supporters in Pakistan through sisters and was continuously criticizing Asim Munir after he became Field Marshal. In such a situation, Imran Khan’s message against Asim Munir could not reach Pakistan and Imran Khan could be silenced by harassing him. For this reason, despite the order of Islamabad High Court, Imran Khan is being prevented from meeting his sisters.
