Assam dhubri beef controversy: After the recent communal tension in Dhubri district of Assam, CM Himant Biswa Sarma’s reaction has come to light. He said that this time some anti -social elements committed disgusting and condemnable crime by throwing cow meat in the Hanuman temple of Dhubri on Eid. He said that a particular class has become active with the intention of damaging our temples, so we have ordered the police to shoot on the illegal activity.
He said that if there is a need on the upcoming Eid, I myself will guard Hanuman Baba’s temple overnight. He said, “A new beef mafia has surfaced in Dhubri, which has purchased thousands of animals just before Eid. Investigation is going on and criminals will be put behind bars.”
The CM of Assam said, “I visited Dhubri and instructed the authorities to follow zero tolerance against our temples and holy places that are defied. The incident of throwing beef in the Hanuman temple of the city should never have happened and people involved will not be spared. We are completely noted to implement law and order and defeat all communal forces in the district.”
CM Himant Biswa Sarma said, “Recently there have been some political changes in the state of Assam and Bangladesh. After this a particular class has become highly active at online and on ground level and is trying to create a well -planned negative environment such as the incident of cow meat in Dhubri’s Hanuman temple.”
Demonstrations took place in Dhubri city of Assam on Sunday (8 June 2025) to protest against throwing meat near a temple, due to which the situation worsened. The police had to fired tear gas shells to control the situation.
