The pace of the mega blockbuster film ‘Dhurandhar’ of the year 2025 is not slowing down even after 22 days of its release. ‘Dhurandhar’ has become the highest grossing film of this year, leaving behind the film ‘Chhaava’. Despite being a multi-starrer, every character in the film has its own existence. The character of ‘Donga’ in the film was also iconic, who was the right hand of Dacoit Rahman, but do you know that Naveen Kaushik, who played the character of Donga, was leaving the film industry, but this film encouraged him to work again.
Naveen Kaushik was upset due to not getting work
The role of Donga in ‘Dhurandhar’ is played by Naveen Kaushik, who had given up hope of not getting work, many rejections, broken confidence and getting work before getting Aditya Dhar’s film. Naveen Kaushik has shared some photos related to the film and has written about the last day of the film from signing the film with full of emotions.
He wrote in the caption, ‘Becoming an actor depends on trust. First of all, it is important to reassure your family, friends, film industry and finally the audience, but this reduces your self-confidence. Too many rejections, not getting response to casting calls, networking and not getting good work leads to loss of confidence.
He further wrote that ‘I had forgotten to trust myself. I was ready to leave everything. I met Mukesh sir on his request. This was my last hope before leaving the industry forever. I still remember that day when after narrating the story we were all told, ‘We have great confidence in all of you and need everyone’s help in making this huge project a reality.’ I suddenly felt that this was my film.
Called Aditya Dhar the captain of the boat
Naveen Kaushik also revealed that the film took a long time of about one and a half years to be made and the film went through a lot of difficulties. He described the film’s director Aditya Dhar as the captain of the boat, who helped in making everyone stable and strong. He wrote about Aditya, ‘By trusting me, you gave me an opportunity to bring one of my characters to life and helped in making it one of my biggest achievements.’
