A few days after the military operation in Venezuela, US President Donald Trump has threatened Cuba. On Sunday (January 11, 2025), Trump suggested to Cuba that they should make a deal with America, lest it be too late. He warned that otherwise Cuba’s oil and funds would be stopped.
Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social, ‘Now neither oil nor money will go to Cuba – zero! I advise them to sign a deal before it is too late.

Trump wrote, ‘Cuba depended on huge amounts of oil and funds from Venezuela for many years. In return, Cuba provided ‘security services’ to Venezuela’s last two dictators, but no more.’ The US President said last week’s US invasion of Cuba killed most Cubans and that Venezuelans no longer needed protection from the gangsters and extortionists who had held them hostage for so many years.

The US President further wrote, ‘Venezuela now has the United States, the most powerful military in the world, which will protect them and we will protect them. No more oil or money will be sent to Cuba – ZERO! I suggest they reach a compromise before it’s too late.
