He believes that the foldable iPhone can instantly increase the sales in this segment or will take its customers to its side. Due to this, Samsung wants to make its devices in such a way that its market share remains intact and its devices can create their own identity.
Global trend is also a reason
Apart from foldable iPhone, global trend is also a reason due to which Samsung is emphasizing on making its devices thinner. For some time now, the popularity of thin phones has increased and companies are giving a slim look to their models. Samsung also did this with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and made it thinner than the Fold 6. The thickness of Fold 6 was 12mm, while Fold 7 was launched with 8.9mm thickness. However, the company did not pay attention to the thickness of Z Flip 7, due to which its sales were also affected. In view of this, Samsung is now placing a lot of emphasis on the thickness of its fold and flip phones.
Samsung will launch tri-fold phone next month
Samsung is ready to launch its first trifold phone Galaxy Z TriFold next month. According to reports, it can be launched on December 5. Galaxy Z TriFold can get a 6.5 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, which will become 10 inches when unfolded. It can be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is expected to be paired with 16GB RAM and 256GB-1TB storage. It will run on One UI 8.0 based on Android 16. Once unfolded, it will look like Galaxy Z Fold 7. It will have two hinges, due to which the phone will fold into three parts.
