Central Government Bonus News: Keeping in mind the festive season, the central government has given Diwali bonus to its employees. Due to which the brightness of Diwali has increased in the homes of central employees. The Government of India has announced an increase in bonus and dearness allowance (DA) for employees. This means that Diwali will be more full of lights than before. Let us know how much bonus has been given to the employees by the Central Government.
Increase in Dearness Allowance (DA)
DA has been increased by 3 percent by the Central Government. That means now the DA of employees has increased from 55 percent to 58 percent. This increase in DA is valid from July 1, 2025. Which means, DA of the last three months will be added to the October salary and given as arrears.
Due to which the salary of the employees will be more than before in this festive month. The central government increases DA twice a year. DA was increased by 2 percent in March this year. That is, if a central employee works on a basic salary of Rs 18000, then at the rate of 3 percent DA, he will get an additional payment of Rs 1620, equivalent to three months’ DA.
Group B and C employees will get Diwali bonus
Group C and non-gazetted Group B employees will be given 30 days’ salary as Diwali bonus by the central government. Also, this bonus will be given along with the salary for the month of October. The government has informed that the bonus has been announced keeping in mind the good work of its employees and the festival.
Railway employees bat bat
Railway employees have been given Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) equal to 78 days’ salary by the Central Government. The government had announced this on September 29 and this amount has been given to them even before Dussehra. Due to this, railway employees have got a maximum bonus of Rs 17,951.
How much salary increased due to DA increase
If we talk about the employee who got the highest DA increase, then the salary of the officer (secretary) getting a basic salary of Rs 2,25,000 has increased by Rs 6,750. At the same time, the least DA increase has been in the salary of peon who gets basic salary of Rs 18,000, in which there has been an increase of only Rs 540. DA of employees has been increased from Rs 540 to Rs 6750. It depends on their rank and their monthly basic salary.
