Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy may be out of the remaining two Test matches of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy due to knee injury. Nitish did not participate in the alternative training session with the team on Sunday.
According to the report of ESPN Cricinfo, Reddy suffered injuries during training in the gym on Sunday. Injary has been detected in the ligament in the scan report.
Reddy’s injury may return to Shardul Thakur’s playing XI. Reddy was included in the team as a depth in India’s batting and the fourth fast bowling option. Reddy, who was out of the first Test, played the second and third Tests.
Reddy had a disappointing performance in the last two Tests. He could score only 45 runs in four innings. His best score was 30 runs in the first innings at Lord’s. He also took 2 wickets in two Tests.
Reddy’s injury is going to increase India’s trouble. The Indian team is already in trouble due to the injury of Akash Deep, Arshdeep Singh and Rishabh Pant. Left -arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh suffered a deep injury to his hand during a training session.
Arshdeep Singh has been out of the fourth Test. In his place, BCCI has included Anshul Kamboj in the team. 24 -year -old Kamboj has taken 79 wickets in 24 first -class matches for Haryana. He was part of the India ‘A’ team, which went on a tour of England in the last month. His performance in two four -day matches was good. In the current series, England have taken a 2–1 lead over India. The fourth Test starting on July 23 in Manchester is very important for India to stay in this series.
