Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian said on Saturday (December 27) that his country is currently embroiled in a large-scale war with America, Israel and Europe. His statement came before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s meeting with US President Donald Trump on Monday.
According to the report of Al Jazeera, Pejeshkian said in an interview given to the official website of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that in my opinion we are at war with America, Israel and Europe. They do not want our country to stand on its own feet. He said that in the war with Iraq in the 1980s, the situation was clear.
Pejeshkian said- Today’s war is different
According to him, at that time missiles were fired and it was clear where to respond, but today’s war is different. Now we are being surrounded in every way. According to the Iranian President, the current conflict is not just military but pressure is being created in every area related to economic, cultural, political and security. He said that we are being surrounded and harassed from all sides and problems are being created continuously.
Netanyahu will meet Trump
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu is going to visit America. According to the report, he can give information to President Donald Trump on options for possible future military action against Iran. Western media are also claiming that Iran is rebuilding its ballistic missile production infrastructure and repairing air defense systems damaged during the June conflict.
Israel has also told America that the recent Iranian missile exercises could be part of preparations for a major attack. The Israeli Army Chief has raised this apprehension directly with the head of the US Central Command.
‘Iran becomes stronger’
Pejeshkian has claimed that Iran has become even stronger after the 12-day war with Israel. He said that we are stronger than before in terms of both equipment and human resources. If the enemy chooses the path of confrontation, he will get a more stringent response.
