Now BJP and TMC have come out openly against each other in the West Bengal Assembly elections. Regarding this, BJP has issued a charge sheet against the TMC government led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that this charge sheet is a compilation of the dark deeds of the TMC government for 15 years.
What is there in the charge sheet issued by BJP?
BJP has enumerated the shortcomings of the 15 years of Trinamool Congress government in its 40-page charge sheet ‘TMC’s 15 years, West Bengal bleeding’. It mentions infiltration, widespread corruption and institutional collapse, financial mismanagement, administrative failure, law and order, women’s safety, agricultural distress, collapse of healthcare and scams. The charge sheet alleges that TMC-backed syndicates are providing fake ID cards to infiltrators to help them create ‘vote banks’, thereby endangering national security and demography.

Apart from this, it has been said about the TMC government that out of the 2,216.7 km long border of West Bengal, 569 km border is still not fenced, the reason for which is the delay in land acquisition by the TMC government to encourage infiltration. Alleging ‘syndicate rule in Bengal’, BJP has said that institutional corruption and culture of ‘cut-money’ (commission) has spread in all civil services in sectors like coal, PDS, SSC and MNREGA.
BJP’s claim in the charge sheet – attempts at more than 300 political murders
BJP claimed in the charge sheet that there have been 300 political murders and more than 13,000 attempts to murder in Bengal since 2016. Communal unrest broke out repeatedly in Murshidabad, Mominpur and Maheshtala.
Referring to crimes against women, BJP alleged that the government has failed to provide justice from Park Street to Sandeshkhali. In Bengal alone, 34,738 crimes against women were registered in 2023. BJP claimed that there has been exodus of 6,688 companies from West Bengal and closure of 18,450 MSMEs. Due to this, there has been capital flight on a large scale.
Unemployment mentioned in BJP’s charge sheet
Due to unemployment rate, more than 40 lakh youth have been forced to migrate. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a press conference in Kolkata, said, this charge sheet has been filed by the people of Bengal against the Mamata Banerjee government, to which the BJP is giving a voice. In a way, the people of Bengal have to decide in the upcoming elections whether to choose fear or trust.
He said that this charge sheet is the story of the government exploiting the people of Bengal by showing the dream of Sonar Bangla and establishing syndicate rule. Under the misgovernance of TMC, Bengal has become a laboratory of corruption. From top to bottom, criminal syndicates are harassing the public. Due to lack of development, Bengal has become a kind of graveyard for industry. Amit Shah said that this time the people of Bengal have decided that BJP government will be formed in the state with an overwhelming majority.
The Union Home Minister said that on May 6, the BJP government will be formed in West Bengal and within 45 days, the land that is to be made available for fencing the border will be made available to the Government of India by the BJP government of Bengal and we will stop infiltration. He also said that in many recruitment scams, many youths have crossed the age limit. We will give a relaxation of 5 years in this, and will also give a chance in SSC recruitment to the youth whose age limit for recruitment has expired, and will also ensure a transparent recruitment process.
