Bangalore Stampede Timeline: On Wednesday (May 04, 2025), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB )’s IPL victory in Bengaluru turned into a major accident. During the team’s victory parade, the crowd suddenly became uncontrollable and stampede. 11 people died in this incident, while 33 people were injured. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the condition of the injured is now out of danger and is undergoing treatment. 2:45 pm: RCB’s team landed at Hal Airport and left for the Taj Hotel directly.

4:30 pm: The crowd suddenly became uncontrollable at the gate behind the stadium and stampede. At the same time, questions started raising on the preparations of police and organizers.

4:30 pm: At the same time, the RCB team reached the Karnataka Assembly, where the Chief Minister and the Governor welcomed him.

6:10 pm: The team reached the Chinnaswamy Stadium, where a huge crowd of fans was already present.

6:30 pm: The team left from the stadium after the parade and ceremony was over.

Questions are now being raised on the preparations of local administration and police. Eyewitnesses say that the crowd was not properly controlled, causing a stampede -like situation.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announces compensation

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed deep grief over the stampede during the RCB Vijay Parade. In a press conference, he told that 11 people have died and 33 people have been injured in this accident. CM Siddaramaiah said, “The government carried out the responsibility of security arrangements, followed by further arrangements for the Cricket Association,” he said that there was a small gate in the stadium, where a huge crowd gathered. The mob forcefully broke the door, causing a stampede situation.

The Chief Minister announced that financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh will be given to the families of the deceased, while the treatment of the injured will be completely free. He said that the government will investigate the matter seriously and necessary steps will be taken so that such incidents do not happen in future.
