
There are a total of 24 Ekadashi tithis in a year. One of these Ekadashi dates is Mokshada Ekadashi date falling in Margashirsha Shukla Paksha. According to mythological beliefs, it was on this holy date that Lord Krishna gave the knowledge of songs to Arjuna. Therefore it is seen as a liberating day.

By worshiping and donating on this day, one gets virtuous results. However, this year on the occasion of Mokshada Ekadashi, the shadow of Bhadra is going to be there. Let us know about the date, auspicious time, mantra and special measures of Mokshada Ekadashi.

According to the Hindu calendar, this year Margashirsha Shukla Ekadashi is going to last from 9:29 pm on 30th November to 7:01 pm on 1st December 2025. Keeping the same Odia date in mind, this time the fast of Mokshada Ekadashi will be observed on Monday, December 1, 2025.

This year, on the date of Mokshada Ekadashi, the shadow of Bhadra will be there from 8.20 am to 7.01 pm. This Bhadra will be imposed on the earth. During Bhadra period, worship and auspicious activities are prohibited.

On the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, after taking bath in Brahmamuhurta, wear yellow clothes and after that worship Lord Vishnu formally. Offer them yellow flowers, Panchamrit and Tulsi leaves. Worship with the mantras of Shri Krishna and definitely recite Geeta. Apart from this, donate food to the needy on the day of Mokshada Ekadashi.

Apart from this, avoid eating food after sunset on the day of Mokshada Ekadashi. Chant the names of Lord Hari before sleeping at night. Control your anger during fasting. Have fruits after evening puja. Do not eat rice even by mistake.
