Bel new orders: Government Defense and Aerospace Company Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) said on Friday, June 20 that the company has received orders worth Rs 585 crore so far since June 5. These include several critical parts and related services including fire control and siting systems for missiles, including communication equipment, jammer.
Earlier, BEL had signed a MOU with Tata Electronics for semiconductor and Advanced Electronics Initiative on 6 June. The purpose of this partnership of both companies is to develop a complete solution in Semacist Fabrication (FAB), OSAT (outsourced semiconductor assembly and test) and chip design, which is in line with the country’s goal of making India self -sufficient in Hitech Manufacturing.
On June 4, BEL also informed about the order of Rs 537 crore. It included Communication Equipments, Shipborn Communication System, Jammer, Software, Simulator Upgrade, Test Rig, Spare and Related Services. The defense electronics portfolio of BEL from these new audiences will be stronger and its scope will also increase in the operational defense domain.
The company has also received a big order of Rs 2,323 crore from Majgaon Dock Shipbuilders and Garden Reach Shipbuilders this month. It has to supply the base and depot-level puffs for missile systems on Indian Navy ships. Overall, Bharat Electronics Limited has received new orders worth about Rs 3,500 crore by June 20, 2025.
With this, BEL shares closed on Friday at Rs 408.05 with a jump of 2.38 percent on Friday. In the last one month, its shares have gained 12.19 percent and 40.27 percent in 6 months. The company has given a return of up to 38.84 percent to investors so far this year with a market capitalization of Rs 2.98 lakh crore.
