In the paper leak case of UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination-2023, the Lucknow zonal team of ED has filed a supplementary charge sheet against 18 accused along with the main mastermind Rajeev Nayan Mishra on January 14, 2026. This charge sheet has been filed in the PMLA Special Court of Lucknow.
This case started when Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force registered an FIR on 06 March 2024 at Kankarkheda police station in Meerut. Apart from this, during the investigation, many more FIRs related to this case were also found, which included separate FIRs of 02 March 2024, 15 February 2024 and July 2024. All the FIRs were found to be related to the same case, so ED included them also in the investigation.
Conspiracy to leak paper of RO/ARO exam-2023
It was alleged in the FIR that the accused had hatched a complete conspiracy to leak the papers of UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination-2023 and UP RO/ARO Examination-2023. The leaked question papers were sold to the candidates for money. Papers and answers were given to the candidates before the examination so that they could memorize them and appear in the examination. RO/ARO exam was held on 11 February 2024. Whereas the constable exam was held on 17–18 February 2024. The investigation also revealed that the money was earned from RO/ARO paper leak. He was used to leak the constable exam paper.
ED seized property worth one crore
During the investigation, ED considered property worth Rs 1.02 crore as Proceeds of Crime i.e. property earned from crime. These properties were temporarily attached by ED on 06 August 2024. In this case, two accused Ravi Attri and Subhash Prakash were arrested by ED on 18 November 2024. Earlier, ED had filed a charge sheet against seven other accused on January 10, 2025, on which the court has taken cognizance and the trial is going on. Officials say that the investigation of the case is still going on.
