IPL 2025 Resume Date: On 8 May, Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings match was stopped due to security reasons. After that the IPL 2025 was suspended for a week, but now the question is when the tournament will be resumed. So far, BCCI has not released any schedule, but different claims are being made regarding the date of the tournament being resumed. Meanwhile, RCB may get a big shock as per the revelations in a media report as Josh Hazlewood may be out of the rest of the tournament.
Big shock to RCB
According to a report published in ESPN Cricinfo, there is a doubt on Josh Hazlewood’s return in IPL 2025. Hazelwood, who could not play in the match against CSK on 3 May due to shoulder pain problem. Had the IPL 2025 not suspended, there were chances that Hazlewood was going to miss the rest of the matches.
Hazelwood has been struggling with injuries earlier as well, due to which he had to be eliminated from some matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This Australia bowler himself has stated that he continued the rehab process in the early phase of IPL 2025. According to this report, Cricket Australia has not expressed much concern about Hazlewood’s injury. The Australian board is hoping that Hazlewood will be part of the conditioning camp to be held in the UK.
Purple Cap contenders in IPL 2025
RCB players are also in the race for Orange Cap and Purple Cap in IPL 2025. On one hand, Virat Kohli remains in the race of Orange Cap by scoring 505 runs. Josh Hazlewood is currently the highest wicket -taking bowler for RCB. Hazelwood has taken 18 wickets in 10 matches so far.
