In this series, a university in Dubai has taken a big decision regarding studies after spring break. The university has announced that after the holidays, classes will be conducted in two modes: on campus and online. Middlesex University of Dubai gave this information through its official social media account. The university said that students for whom it will not be possible to return to campus will be able to continue their studies through online classes for some time.
Classes will start after spring break
According to the university, there is a plan to resume classes on campus from March 23 after the spring break is over. This means that students for whom it is possible to come to the university will be able to study directly on the campus. But for those students who due to some reason are facing difficulty in returning to Dubai by that time, the option of online studies has also been kept for them. This facility will be available from 23 March to 5 April.
Different information came earlier
In fact, a post was issued by the university on Friday morning, in which it was said that from March 23 to April 5, all classes will be completely online. After this announcement, questions began to arise among many students and parents whether the campus would remain completely closed. Later the university issued a new update and clarified the situation. In the new information, it was told that the classes on the campus will start as per the scheduled time, but the students for whom it is not possible to come, will be given the facility of online studies.
Important instructions given to students
The university administration has asked students to attend their online classes regularly and check their student email and the university website from time to time. The administration also said that according to the further situation, new information can be released if needed.
Safety of students and staff is most important
The university said in its statement that the safety and health of students and staff is its biggest priority. This is the reason why this mixed system has been adopted to continue studies as well as to take precautions. The purpose of this decision is that studies should not be affected and students should also get a safe environment.

Why was this decision taken
In fact, due to the ongoing crisis in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for some time, the education system has been affected. Considering the situation, the government had already made changes in the holidays of schools and universities. The government had announced on March 4 that spring break would start earlier. Earlier this holiday was scheduled from March 16 to March 29, but later it was changed and implemented from March 9. This decision was implemented on government and private schools, colleges and universities across the country.
Normal arrangements from March 23
It was already told by the government that after the holidays are over, studies and office work will start again from March 23. However, many institutions are adopting different arrangements considering the situation. In some places, completely campus classes will start, while some institutes are also offering the option of online studies.
Online education was implemented earlier also
Even before this, distance learning i.e. online education was increased in the country for some time. Its objective was to give students an opportunity to continue their studies in a safe environment. Education officials say that the education process should not be stopped, but it should be taken forward according to the circumstances.
