In such a situation, if an investor already has 100 shares of Patanjali Foods, he will now have 300 shares with these bonus shares.
Record date was kept on 11 September
The Board of Directors of Patanjali Foods had approved the giving bonus shares in 2: 1 ratio during a meeting in July. For this, the company set a record date on September 11, 2025. In such a situation, investors who kept the shares with them by September 11 became entitled to this bonus share. After this day, those who buy shares will no longer be entitled to bonus shares. The company issues bonus share to provide a better investment opportunity for its current shareholders.
By issuing bonus shares, it makes it easier for small investors to buy it. They can be purchased and sold comfortably. With bonus shares, the number of total shares of the company has increased. However, it has no effect on the company’s market capitalization. This increases the overall liquidity of the stock and becomes economical for investors and becomes economical. It is a technical process, which aims to increase liquidity in the account and add small investors.
Company shares decline since 1 year
