Big job opportunity in Railways, recruitment on more than 11 thousand posts of Assistant Loco Pilot

Good news has emerged for lakhs of youth who are dreaming of getting a government job in Railways. Railway Ministry has given green signal to the new recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot i.e. ALP. After this decision, the recruitment process is expected to start soon. The entire responsibility of recruitment will be with RRB. The application process will be online and candidates will be able to fill the form as soon as the notification is released.

Under this recruitment drive, a total of 11,127 posts will be appointed in different railway zones across the country. This recruitment is considered special for those youth who want to work in the technical field and dream of becoming a part of Railways. The job of ALP is counted among the important and responsible jobs of Railways.

Zone wise distribution of posts

Information about zone wise posts has also been shared by RRB. There are 1400 posts in Central Railway, 700 posts in East Central Railway and 1625 posts in East Coast Railway. Apart from this, there will be recruitment on 608 posts in Eastern Railway, 457 in North Central Railway and 740 posts in Northern Railway. South Eastern Railway has the maximum number of 1531 posts, while Northeast Frontier Railway has 1276 posts. Along with this, posts have also been fixed in Southern Railway, Western Railway, West Central Railway and other zones. Some posts are also included in Chittaranjan Locomotive Works.

Who can apply

Candidates applying for the post of ALP must have the prescribed educational qualification. It is mandatory for the candidate to have passed 10th from a recognized board. Must have done ITI with this. Candidates who have completed 10th and Diploma in Engineering are also eligible to apply. Apart from this, youth who have obtained engineering degree can also participate in this recruitment.

age limit

The minimum age of the candidate to participate in this recruitment has been fixed at 18 years. The maximum age limit has been kept at 30 years. Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates. OBC category will get 3 years relaxation and SC and ST categories will get 5 years relaxation. Apart from this, ex-servicemen and other reserved category candidates will also be given relaxation as per rules.

How much application fee will have to be paid

Candidates will have to deposit the prescribed fee at the time of application. The application fee for general and other category candidates has been kept at Rs 500. Whereas for SC, ST, Ex-Serviceman, Transgender and Economically Weaker Section candidates, the fee has been fixed at Rs 250. Fee will be deposited through online mode.

The selection process of ALP recruitment will not be easy. Candidates will have to go through several stages. First of all there will be computer based examination i.e. CBT-1. After this CBT-2 will be conducted. After this, Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) will be taken. Candidates successful in all these examinations will be called for document verification. The final stage will be medical examination. Only the candidates who are successful in all the stages will be finalized.

When will applications start?

At present, the application dates have not been announced, but it is believed that RRB will issue detailed notification soon. The date of application, possible schedule of the examination and other important information will be given in the notification. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website of RRB.
