National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has started the process of online registration for Foreign Medical Graduate Examination i.e. FMGE December 2025. The registration window has been opened from 3 pm on 14th November 2025, and now all those students sitting across the country, who have studied MBBS from abroad and dream of becoming a doctor in India, can easily apply.
The last date for registration has been fixed as 4th December 2025 at 11:55 pm, that is, candidates have full 21 days, but experts are advising not to wait till the last minute, because there are often technical problems in uploading documents and paying fees.
The date of examination has also been decided. FMGE December 2025 exam will be held on 17 January 2026, and the results will be declared by 17 February 2026. This next one month is going to be very important for the students appearing in this examination. FMGE is considered to be one of the toughest exams in the country, and its past statistics also show the same.
37,207 students applied for the June 2025 session, out of which 36,034 appeared for the exam, but only 6,707 candidates could pass. The pass percentage was only 18%, while the failure rate was more than 81%. This is the reason why every update and every instruction of this examination matters a lot for the students.
What are the necessary conditions?
Talking about the conditions of application, NBEMS has kept the rules clear this time too. Candidates must have passed their final MBBS examination or equivalent degree on or before 31 October 2025. The applications of students whose result or certificate is not available before the due date will be cancelled. Besides, certification of medical degree obtained from abroad is also necessary.
This certification should be either from the Indian Embassy of the concerned country or from any authorized authority of that country. Many times students forget to upload this document or upload it in the wrong format, due to which the application gets rejected, hence this time NBEMS has issued clear instructions to fill the form only after checking all the documents.
How to register
Now talking about the application process, NBEMS has kept it quite simple. Candidates must first visit the official website natboard.edu.in. There the tab containing FMGE December 2025 will appear, which has to be clicked. After this, the registration link will open, where you will have to create an account by entering name, date of birth, email and other basic information.
As soon as the registration is complete, candidates can fill the main form. In this, personal information, educational qualification, documents related to studies abroad and photograph-signature have to be uploaded. After completing the form, the application has to be submitted by depositing the examination fee, and finally it is important to take a print out of it as it may be needed in future.
