Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced to ensure the minimum wage to every youth working in the state on Tuesday that there will be no scope for exploitation of workers.
After inaugurating the three -day ‘Employment Mahakumbh 2025’ in Lucknow, the Chief Minister said in his address that companies will have to pay proper salary to their employees.
He stressed that this initiative will ensure respectable employment, job security and complete security of workers’ rights. Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh is going to become the first state in the country to guarantee minimum wage to every worker youth.

Describing the youth as a store of immense energy, he said that the biggest strength of the state lies in its vast youth population. The talent of Uttar Pradesh is now demanded not only in India but also globally. At one time, this state with a large migration for jobs is creating abundant employment opportunities within its limits today.

Referring to the labor reforms, the Chief Minister said that labor laws are being modernized to protect the rights of workers, ensuring smooth operation of industries.
Describing Employment Mahakumbh as a bridge between the youth and the industry, he said, ‘This event is not only about providing employment, but also about making training and courses in line with new technical demands.’
In a post on social media site X, CM Yogi wrote that under the ‘Mission Employment’ campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the inauguration program of Employment Mahakumbh-2025 organized under the aegis of Labor and Employment Department in Lucknow today.
He wrote that along with distributing appointment letters to the youth selected by various companies on this occasion, Labor Justice Setu Portal of Labor Department, Website of Industrial Tribunal and e-court portal were also launched.
