Government telecom company BSNL is now going to join the 4G and 5G race with full force. For this, Tata Group’s company Tejas Networks has taken a big step. The company has completed 1 lakh 4G and 5G network sites for BSNL under a deal of 7,492 crore.
World’s largest single-vender delivery in record time
“We have sent more than 1 lakh sites to BSNL. It is one of the world’s largest single-vendor Ran network delivery, and that too in record time.” In achieving this big achievement, TCS, C-DOT and BSNL together showed tremendous teamwork.
BSNL’s 4G service may start in June
BSNL has announced that it is going to start its 4G services from June 2025. This rollout is happening after about 9 years from private companies. But now the preparation is complete. After 4G, BSNL is working on a plan to upgrade the same network to 5G as well. That is, the government telecom sector is now ready for equal in high-speed internet race.
Company has a huge boom in operation revenue
Tejas networks incurred a loss of about 72 crores in the March quarter, but the operational revenue rose 44 per cent to 1,907 crore. In the financial year 2024-25, the company received a net profit of 446.53 crore and a revenue of 8,923 crore, which is many times more than the previous years.
Technology Partnership with NEC Japan
Tejas Networks has strategic cooperation with Japanese tech company NEC Corporation. Under this partnership, the two companies will work together on advance wireless technology, Ran network, and core network solutions. Also, a common marketing strategy will also be supported.
Vodafone Idea and Railway Project also active
Tejas Networks signed a three -year agreement with Vodafone Idea in December, whose first phase supply has been completed. The company is now in the next deal conversation with BSNL. Also, Tejas is now preparing to participate in the tender for the railway’s security project ‘Rail Kavach’.
