There is good news for 10th and ITI pass youth preparing for government jobs. Railway Recruitment Cell has issued advertisement for recruitment to 5349 posts of apprentice in Western Railway. The special thing is that there will be no written examination or interview in the recruitment. Candidates will be selected entirely on the basis of merit. This recruitment has been issued under advertisement number RRC/WR/04/2025 and the application process will be completely online.
What is the required date of application?
Applications for apprentice posts will start from 21st February i.e. tomorrow at 11 am. The last date of application is till 5 pm on March 23. Apart from this, interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website www.rrc-wr.com. Let us tell you that a total of 5349 apprentice posts will be filled under this recruitment process. These posts mainly include many other trades including Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Electronic Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Painter, Carpenter, Refrigeration and AC Mechanic. Whereas the maximum number of posts are in fitter and electrician trade.
Qualification and age limit for recruitment
To apply for this recruitment, it is necessary for the candidate to have passed 10th with at least 50 percent marks from a recognized board. Also, it is necessary to have ITI certificate from an institute recognized by NCVT in the trade related to the vacancy. Apart from this, the candidates who are waiting for 10th or ITI results will not be eligible to apply. Engineering degree or diploma holders are also not eligible for this recruitment. For recruitment, the age of the candidate should be minimum 15 years and maximum 24 years. Age relaxation will be given as per the rules of reserved categories. SC, ST will be given 5 years relaxation, OBC will be given 3 years and PWD candidates will be given 10 years.
What will be the selection process?
The biggest feature of this recruitment is that there will be no written examination. Selection will be done from the merit list prepared on the basis of 10th and ITI marks. After this the process of document verification will take place. If two candidates have equal marks then the one with higher age will be given preference. For this recruitment, the application fee for general and OBC category candidates has been fixed at Rs 100. SC, ST, PWD and women candidates will not have to pay any fees.
