West Asia Tensions: Due to increasing tension in the Middle East, passengers stranded there are facing a lot of difficulties. Meanwhile, the news of relief is that efforts are being made to gradually normalize flights to and from West Asia. According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, on Wednesday, Air India and Air India Express are going to operate a total of 58 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from West Asia.
The ministry has said that the situation in the entire region and its impact on flights is being continuously monitored. For this reason, airlines are operating flights in a phased manner.

Due to increasing geopolitical tension in the Middle East and rising cost of aviation fuel, Air India and Air India Express have announced an additional surcharge of Rs 399 on domestic tickets from March 12. The airline says that due to increasing tension in the Gulf region, operating costs have increased significantly, hence this fee will be implemented in a phased manner. However, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has said that despite the tension in the region, ticket prices will be closely monitored so that passengers are not charged unnecessary or excessive fares.
