Big news has come to light regarding former Uttar Pradesh cabinet and senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan. Azam Khan’s petition was heard in Allahabad High Court. Allahabad High Court has extended interim relief against Azam Khan and others. The court has extended the stay on passing the final order in the case by the trial court till November 15. Now the next hearing in this case will be on November 15.
Actually, Azam Khan and co-accused Virendra Goyal have filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court, demanding a stay on the final verdict by the trial court. The hearing in the famous forced eviction case of 2016 is going on in the High Court. On October 15, 2016, action was taken to demolish unauthorized structures on the Waqf property named Yatim Khana, Waqf No. 157, Rampur.
Azam Khan and associates challenged the trial court order
Let us tell you that Azam Khan and his associate Virendra Goyal have challenged the order of May 30, 2025 of the trial court in the petition. This case was registered in Kotwali police station of Rampur in the year 2019. In these cases, Azam Khan and others were charged with serious charges like robbery, unauthorized entry into the house and criminal conspiracy. A single bench of Justice Sameer Jain is hearing the case.
A total of 104 cases are registered against Azam Khan.
According to media reports, a total of 104 cases are registered against former minister Azam Khan including revenue, land grabbing, manipulation of documents, capture of enemy property, election fraud. Of these, hearing on 80 cases is going on. Out of which decisions are yet to be taken in 59 Magistrate Court, 19 Session Court and 3 District Court cases.
Azam Khan released from jail after 23 years
Let us tell you that Azam Khan was released from jail after 23 months on 23 September 2025. Azam Khan was arrested for the first time in Rampur court on 26 February 2020. After this he remained in jail for 27 months till May 2022. Azam Khan had to go to jail after a new case was registered in October 2023.
