Big uproar in PSL, Multan Sultans owner Ali Khan Tareen threatened PCB with legal action

The dispute between Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Multan Sultans franchise owner Ali Khan Tareen is continuously increasing. On one hand, a legal notice has been sent by the PCB, while on the other hand, Tareen is openly taunting the board. Now the matter has become so bad that Tareen has even accused the PSL management of ‘ghosting’ and warned of legal action. Tareen has given a statement that no response has been received to the email. Therefore, I am forced to make everything public.

Ali Khan Tareen made serious allegations against PCB and PSL management by posting a post on social media platform X on Wednesday. He says that for the last one month, he has been continuously emailing asking for valuation and renewal letter of his franchise, but is not getting any response from PSL.

He wrote that all the other teams have received renewal letters, but talks with Multan Sultans are being postponed again and again. Tareen claims that he had also sent a reply in response to the legal notice, but the board remained silent on that too.

Tareen wrote in the post, “PSL management is not even listening to us. Neither the response to the email, nor to the legal letter, nor to the letter sent to the chairman. Other franchises are also asking why Multan is being kept out of the process. In such a situation, everything has to be made public.”

‘If this ghosting continues, legal action will be mandatory’

Tareen further warned that if the silence of PSL management continues like this, then they will be forced to take the legal route. He sarcastically said that this matter could have been solved only over tea and biscuits, but ego made it difficult.

PCB preparing to add two new teams

Meanwhile, PCB is preparing to add two new franchises in the league. For this, six cities – Hyderabad, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit and Rawalpindi have been shortlisted. The new owners will get a chance to buy the team for the next ten years.

The atmosphere of PSL is more tense

This ongoing dispute between Tareen and PCB is making the atmosphere of PSL more tense. Multan Sultans has been one of the most successful teams in the last few seasons. In such a situation, the clash between the management and the franchise is not good news for the image of the league.
