In the T20 World Cup 2026, India registered a spectacular victory by defeating Namibia by 93 runs. Batting first, Team India had put 209 runs on the board. In reply, Namibia made a fast start, but the Indian bowlers made a comeback and bowled them out for 116 runs. This victory may have been big for the Indian team, but some concerns are clearly visible before the high-voltage match against Pakistan on 15 February.
1. Middle order faltered against spin
Indian batsmen made a good start in the powerplay, but struggled against spin in the middle overs. Namibian captain Gerhard Erasmus bowled a brilliant spell while bowling tightly. 2. Stopping runs in death overs is a big concern

However, in the last four overs the team lost 5 wickets and scored only 25 runs. This decline shows that there is a need for improvement in both planning and finishing in the death overs.
In big matches, it is the batting of the last overs that makes the difference. If the situation remains similar against Pakistan, then pressure may come on India.
3. Arshdeep proved expensive with the new ball
Arshdeep Singh, one of the top bowlers in T20 International, also did not appear to be in rhythm in this match. He gave away 36 runs in 3 overs and could not even take wickets in the initial overs. Namibia’s batsmen played them freely.
A better start with the new ball will be necessary against Pakistan. Getting early wickets will be very important, so that pressure can be created on the opposition team.
